I actually had a certified dream last night. First one in quite a while.
I was young, probably 11, and I went on a trip with a couple of Japaneese guys, one was my age and the other was his aged dad. I didn't really talk to the kid, so I dont know if we were friends or not, but their last name was Yamaoto. We got in the car and drove north into unpopulized stretches of freeway, untill we got off and parked at what was obviously some sort of amusement park. We parked right by the exit gate, half the spot jutted out from under the parking structure which was triangular on one side.
I dont remember going on any rides, or seeing anything in the park, but at some point I was led into a lcoker room where half was Women only, and the other half was co-ed. I was led past all the rows to the far end of the womens section by someone I dont remember and left there. Noone seemed to mind me being there, I didn't watch anyone change, nor did I have a view, unless I stood on chair and looked across the suprisingly undusty tops of lockers.
At some point here my dream started being mean. People were being shot driving down the freeway across the US, even where we were. I remember one headline read, "Girl shot in buttocks, poops upside-down." It was really funny for such scary moments. People left in big masses, but we didnt leave untill some worker in her 40's got mad at me for exiting the locker room from the womens side. She asked me to stay where I was so that she could deal with me, but the place was so busy with people leaving that I chose to leave.
The Yamaotos and I ran towards the car, Mr Y was clicking his remote trying to unlock the car at the earliest possible time. We got in and drove away. I lied flat in the back seat, after all two people are harder to hit with a gun than three, a smart gunner would know that.
Further north we got into more populated areas and drove along a stretch of highway that curved right, had a walmart really close on the left and construction walls really close on the right. We were sandwiched between them when we got shot at. Along the curve at specific angle intervals we got shot at, five times, and Yamaoto didnt speed up or slow down or swerve at all. He just said remarks inbetween the shots that were mean and sarcastic. The only one I can remember was him saying "she must be Jewish." I dont know why he thought that, or why my subconcious said it. In the end we were unharmed.
Less than 4 miles later we were off the freeway and pulled into a typical walmart shopping center. The ones with 3 or 4 huge chains that bully all the local shops into extinction. We drove up to a place called Yamaotos (in large red letters) and went inside. It was like a Fuddruckers only with less clutter. The thing that struck me the mosts was a 15 foot tall statue of a ring wraith on a horse. The obvious centerpiece of the restraunt. it looked really fearsome. Some old lady came to me and told me that when I was young it bent down and got really close to my face before someone snatched me away.
After that there was an apparent birthday party (with only relatives) for young Yamaoto, which wasn't happy nor sad, everything was rather deadpan, as if it weren't his birthday and there were no shootings outside a mile away. During this I was behind the register taking orders, which as far as I could tell was the reason I went on the trip in the first place.
The dream ended here, and I woke up with a bleh feeling that ive had the last 2 days. Ive got some stupid head cold thats not too serious, but its been around for a few days. I blame my dream, which was truthfully scary at times, on the head cold.
